This film follows an unconventional but highly effective anti-trafficking organisation in Mumbai, run by two inspirational young women – Robin Chaurasiya and Trina Talukdar.
Their organisation, Kranti, which means ‘revolution’ in Hindi, works with the daughters of sex workers in Mumbai not only seeking to change their lives in the long-term but to transform them into the future female leaders of India. In the process, they seek to challenge perceptions of women and revolutionise their role in Indian society.
Unfortunately, not everyone supports Kranti’s work and we see the struggles of the girls they seek to help and the challenges they all face in this intimate documentary.
