Taking ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ as its mantra, this innovative film was made using 100% recycled footage and is an entirely carbon neutral production. The filmmakers trawled international archives to tell the story of recycling from the post-war consumer culture boom through to present day eco-awareness. One of four short films produced by BRITDOC for Studio Artois and broadcast by Channel 4 in their 3 Minute Wonder slot.
3 Minute Wonders was a documentary shorts strand that followed Channel 4 News on weekdays. The series was part of Channel 4’s talent initiative which helped break new talent into the UK television industry. The series brought a wealth of new directors and producers who had not previously worked with the channel, or who wanted to cross genres and create something new or who were debuting their work as producers or directors for the very first time.
